The NFL 88 Plan Benefits
The National Football League has developed a number of resources and services for former players. One of those programs is the NFL 88 Plan, named after John Mackey who wore number 88 while playing for the Baltimore Colts. The plan provides financial reimbursement for care costs of vested players who are diagnosed with dementia, ALS or Parkinson’s disease.
